My Glucose Weight Loss Journey

There are 14kgs between these pictures. I was happy then, and I’m happy now. It has been 2 years now since I created this ‘before and after’ picture and my weight has stayed the same as the ‘after’ picture.

The biggest change I made in order to lose this weight (and keep it off) was UNDERSTANDING how and why glucose spikes happen. I learnt how IMPORTANT it is even for non diabetics to be aware of glucose spikes and crashes and I’ve become more mindful of how I eat and how food makes me feel. It is not a diet.

Learning about how glucose and how my metabolism works has allowed my weight loss, but that has really just been a bonus.

Keeping my glucose levels more stable has helped me:

  1. To have WAY more energy in my day
  2. Improved mood
  3. Clearer skin
  4. Less cravings of carbs and sugary foods
  5. Better pooping
  6. More mental clarity
  7. Achieve the weight loss

Food Order Matters

Who knew that eating your food on your plate in a certain order could have such an impact on your entire well being?

Looking at the plate of food in this picture, what order would you eat the different foods in?

Reducing glucose spikes in a day (even for non diabetics) is very helpful.

Especially for those with ‘pre-diabetes‘ and for anyone who has been diagnosed with gestational or pregnancy related diabetes.

I haven’t cut out any food groups and I don’t follow all the principles 100% of the time. Yet I am lighter and feeling better than I have in years.

Glucose weight loss

I created a webinar to share the information that I believe ALL women (and men!) should know. Hundreds of people have watched it and benefited from the life changingly simple tips and information to help you to understand why you should ideally “make your bed” when you eat.

So if you have been tempted to learn more about glucose, what it is, what it does in your body and why you should care about it even if you aren’t diabetic, you can watch my Let’s Talk Glucose webinar. It will help you to understand the glucose weight loss connection,

I hope you benefit from it and I would love to hear from you if you watch it (and let me know the answer to the food order question above!)
